Wiki Main
Welcome to the first-ever Government of Alberta wiki!
A wiki is a website that lets you add, change, or delete content. If you’ve ever been to Wikipedia, you’ve used a wiki. All changes are tracked so that everyone can see what is new. You can also leave comments explaining your edits or comment on the edits of others.
Over the past year, the Government of Alberta has asked Albertans to help us create a social policy framework. The result—Speak. Share. Thrive: Alberta’s Social Policy Framework—will be a vision for social policy that defines who we are as people and communities, one that reflects our aspirations for an Alberta that offers all Albertans the opportunity to reach their potential and to benefit from the highest possible quality of life.
Developed with Albertans, Speak. Share. Thrive. will direct the future of Alberta’s social policy and programs, and it will guide how we come together to ensure that everyone has an opportunity for fulfillment and well-being. This Framework is for all Albertans—it is a vision for Alberta and its people, and it is a call to action for everyone to work together to achieve the spirit and goals of the Framework.
The content of the social policy framework wiki reflects all of the feedback received during the public engagement, which took place between June and November 2012. Revisions have been made to the original content based on this feedback. To see the rationale for each change, please click on the History tab.
The draft framework content is divided into six sections. Click on any of the sections below to get started. You can edit all of the sections, or just the ones that interest you.
